Expertise
Mathew Fante has extensive strategic as well as operational management experience, including financial and organisational management, service development, compliance and managing organisational change. He has a strong background in service development, organisational planning, program evaluation and community development. Mathew has held senior manager positions at the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, working with government and non-government agencies implementing major reforms such as the NDIS.
Mathew’s broad public sector experience also includes several years with Transport for NSW where he worked with transport providers and stakeholders to implement a series of innovative, community-based projects to improve access to essential services in both rural and metropolitan settings. Many of these successful initiatives have been replicated around Australia.
Mathew’s non-government experience includes the role of Deputy Director of Community Child Care NSW. He also managed a large disability service that worked exclusively with clients from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Background. He conducted two research projects with the University of Sydney investigating the needs of families with children with disability. Mathew has also delivered papers at national and international social policy conferences.
Since starting Mathew Fante Consulting, Mathew has provided services and advice to a wide range of clients from sole traders, to governments and international health care companies on NDIS readiness and compliance, business planning, change management, project planning, aged care, the National Quality and Safeguards Framework and organisational culture and improvement. We are also proud to have a continued partnership with a number of Aboriginal organisations across Australia.
Mathew has a Masters of Management (Not-for-profit) from the University of Technology, Sydney, a Diploma of Applied Science in Nursing from the University of Sydney, and is a qualified NDIS and ISO 9001 auditor.
